Last week, on May 13, we celebrated Anna's first birthday. I can't believe that a whole year has gone by! We had an Anna day. We started the morning with opening gifts and eating Pillsbury cinnamon twists and a banana.
Anna was very excited when she saw the giant bag.
She was even more excited by the bead maze inside of the bag. It's the same type of maze that I had growing up. She loves it and a week later, she can move the beads through the maze on her own.
Then we got out the baby pool and let Anna play in the water. She loves splashing about!
Anna loves the beach and her new little wagon. Her favorite thing to do at the beach right now, though, is to wave at everyone!

She figured out the horn in about 5 minutes and loves pretending like she's driving!
We got cupcakes from Sweet Carolina Cupcakes for Anna's birthday. They were delicious and Anna loved the chocolate icing!
Taking her first bite after I broke it in to pieces. She couldn't quite figure out what to do with the giant cupcake on her tray.

We had so much fun celebrating Anna's birthday. Anna is growing and changing like crazy. She pulls up on everything, can go all the way up the stairs, loves all kinds of fruits (except for strawberries, which make her break out), is drinking real milk, talks all day long, laughs at silly things, gives big hugs, has meltdowns when she doesn't get her way, tries to brush her hair and put on her shoes, can open every cabinet door, pets the dogs, says quack quack every time that she sees a duck, crawls as fast as she can into any water and never cries, tries to sing along to her music, claps, waves, gives high fives, and makes us smile all day long. We love our beautiful little one-year-old!
