The Sandbar with the Talberts

We met up with our friends the Talberts last Saturday for a day at the Sandbar. We had a great time. I took lots of pictures of the kids and have none of the adults! Anna spotted a "duck" in the marsh grass.

First Day of School

Anna started preschool a couple of weeks ago at the First Baptist Church in downtown Bluffton. She goes on Thursday for three hours and loves it! This is Anna in her first day outfit with her backpack on!

Day Trip to Savannah

On Anna's 16 month birthday, we went to Savannah for the day. We had a picnic lunch, did a little shopping, and ran around a few of the squares. I only took a couple pictures because she was not very cooperative. She stopped and stood still for one minute when she spotted a couple of dogs.

My mom gave me several of my dresses that I wore when I was Anna's age and Anna got to wear one to church one day. I couldn't resist a picture! So cute!

A Weekend with Nana

My mom spent last weekend with us in Bluffton. We went to the beach and had a great dinner at the SC Yacht Club. Anna had a great time and was beat after a full day at the beach as you can see.

Busy Baby and Summer Fun!

Anna finally started really walking in the beginning of August and she is full of so much personality. She constantly amazes us, surprises us, and makes us life. She is full of so much energy! She is a sweetheart too and stops long enough to give a good hug all of the time! We are loving every minute!

Island Playground

We went to the Island Playgroup and it was a hit! We met Jenny and Tucker Nelson for a play date and Anna had so much fun that she didn't want to leave. They have a castle to climb, slides to ride, bouncy things, train tables, and a kitchen set. We will definitely be going back!

Weekend with Friends

We spent the last weekend in July with our wonderful friends Kate, Matt, and Melisa. We had a fabulous weekend spent mostly on the river and I was even treated to a girls' night out on Saturday while Matt and Jason watched Anna. We had so much fun and are so thankful for such great friends! Anna sporting her first UNC hat! Thanks Melisa!

A Night in Sea Island

Anna and I drove to St. Simons on a Wednesday night to stay with Jason at the Lodge at Sea Club. While he played golf, Anna and I ventured over to the Cloister on Sea Island to watch the sunset. We had a great time playing on the beach and the next day we stayed at their awesome pools all day.

Hawks Family Beach Trip

In the end of July, Anna and I met my mom, brother, and sister at Ocean Isle, NC for a week. We had a wonderful time! We spent every waking hour at the beach, which was just across the street, and at the pool. Anna enjoyed eating her breakfast out on the deck every morning, which overlooked a duck pond. Anna had the best time plaing in the waves, building sandcastles, and of course running, well crawling, wild on the beach!
