A Beach Day with the "Big" Kids

Anna and I enjoyed a day at the beach on Friday. It was a welcome outing since Jason and Anna had been sick all week. We met Amanda, Harper, Ginger and Mary Kate. Anna had a blast!

Anna loves playing in the sand.

Harper wasn't too excited about Anna taking over his beach toys.

She couldn't figure out that the turtle sifter that she's holding was why Harper was so upset.

Mary Kate is a beach girl. She had so much fun covering herself with sand and had no fear when it came to the ocean.

Mary Kate was showing Harper how to cover himself with sand.

Then she decided he just didn't have enough sand on him.

Anna loved following Mary Kate around. She doesn't look too thrilled here, but Mary Kate was a sport and didn't seem to mind her little shadow.

Anna hasn't quite figured out that sand is not food. She'll eat sand, but not vegetables!

Mary Kate decided to put sand on Harper's bottom.

They both thought that it was hilarious.

Anna loves the water!

Anna enjoyed hanging out and watching the big kids. It was a great day at the beach.

I know that I have posted about Anna and Lucy before, but their growing bond continues to amaze me. She loves going out to the porch and "playing" with the dogs.

Big Girl Car Seat

Now that Anna is one and weighs enough, we moved her to a forward facing car seat. These are a couple of pictures of her first ride. She was so excited!

I love being able to hand her things and to watch her interact with the world! She waves at passing cars and smiles every time that I turn around to check on her. I can now see that she claps along to her music too. She's such a big girl!
