Walking!
Anna is officially on the move! She has been moving along furniture and walking while holding our fingers for several weeks now. On Tuesday, though, when she turned 14 months, she decided that she was ready to try walking on her own. She didn't just take a few steps...she took a few spins around the family room! She is so excited to finally be up on two feet by herself!

The Fourth of July
Family Trip to Kiawah
Jason, Anna, and I joined Jason's family in Kiawah for a week. We had a great time. Our two nephews and Anna got along great. Carter and Tyler were so gentle with Anna and she was fascinated by them. We enjoyed a week of relaxing, hanging out by the pool, going to the beach, and bike riding.
Our beach baby!
Hanging out with Caroline and Josie!
Anna and I headed up to North Carolina for a week in the middle of June. We enjoyed hanging out with Nana, Melissa, and Matthew. Anna even got to ride on her first train and we spent a day with my extended family at my Mema's pool. We planned our trip because my friend and roommate from UNC, Caroline, was in town with her daughter Josie that week. It was such a treat to see her and to meet precious Josie who was born in November because they live far away in Denver.
Summer Fun!
We have enjoyed a wonderful, fun-filled summer so far. Anna has really enjoyed being in the water and hanging out outside. Anna took swim lessons for a week and loved them! She is quite the water baby. These are a few of my favorite pictures from the past month.

Anna received a baby doll from cousins Tyler and Carter for her first birthday. It was love at first sight.

We even got a family picture in at Palmetto Bluff when Mimi and Dudaddy came to town.

Anna loves to eat! She's still picky and won't eat any vegetables. Give her sweets, goldfish, grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, hotdogs, or any fruit and she is a happy camper! She loves blueberries and cantalope and would try to survive on them if I would let her.

Anna got a water table for her birthday and she loves it. She loves pretending and splashing in the water. She even enjoys the table without water.

Anna makes this face all of the time!

She is tuckered out after an afternoon at the pool.
We rented a pontoon boat on Saturday so that we could explore the lake. The water was cooler and more refreshing than we are use to on the coast. We enjoyed checking out all of the beautiful homes on the lake. Anna loved being co-captain and especially loved the comfort and space in the pontoon boat.
Jason, Anna, and I got to head up to the Ritz Carlton resort at Lake Oconee in Georgia for a meeting. Even though Anna and I were both sick, we had a great time. We enjoyed their walking trails, infinity edge pool, the beautiful lake, and the delicious food. I did not take enough pictures.
